Glaschu in PRO12 action

Newsroom

BBC ALBA’s live coverage of this season’s Guinness PRO12 rugby continues tomorrow with action from Glasgow v Zebre. Coverage of the fixture from Scotstoun Stadium, starts at 7.25pm, with the match beginning at 7.35pm.

Calum Macaulay will be presenting the coverage, with commentary coming from Hugh Dan MacLennan who will be joined by Glasgow Warrior’s Lee Jones as analyst. Red button commentary will be provided by Paul Mitchell and Scott Hastings.

The two sides last met in Parma in October when Warriors notched a hard-earned bonus point win in a 33-28 victory. Glasgow Warriors are looking to keep their hopes of reaching the Guinness PRO12 play-offs alive, despite their recent defeat to Munster, where maximum points are needed against Zebre. However, the Italian side will be arriving having secured back-to-back Guinness PRO12 games against Connacht and Newport Gwent Dragons.

Zebre have never won three successive Guinness PRO12 games before however, the history books are not on their side with Glasgow Warriors having won all nine matches between the two sides to date, the last six seeing them earn maximum points too.

As well as the live action, at half-time we meet up with Sean Lamont. With 111 appearances for Glasgow over two spells and 105 caps for Scotland, we chat to the winger as he reflects back on his Warriors’ career.
